Tell us a bit about yourself
I was born in Slovakia but have been living in Australia since I was 12 years old. I have been hiking A LOT in the last few months! I have hiked 160 KM since March to be exact – to support my 12-year-old son who has been training for the Kokoda challenge. Apart from spending time with my family/parenting and work, I love to garden and read.
How long have you been working for Neurosensory?
I have been working at Neurosensory for 10 years and I love my colleagues, that I work with and my wonderful clients.
What is your education/training background?
I have a Batchelor’s degree in in Psychology, a Masters in Audiology and a nearly completed MBA.
What are your specialities?
My main specialty is in cochlear implants. I also have a coaching role in which I am fortunate enough to train/upskill and support audiologists in all areas of audiology.
What made you get into audiology?
It was a fluke. After completing my psychology degree, my friend applied for ‘audiology’. I went along to the information session and thought, I could do this!
What is your favourite part of your job?
The clients and the team.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
I tend to help with a lot of complex cases, which can be challenging, but can also be rewarding.
If you weren’t an audiologist, what would you be?
A farmer.
What are you most excited about in the future of audiology?
A bit of trepidation also excitement on how AI will affect the future of the hearing industry.
